Summer Mountains after Wang Hui. Framed under glass, ink on paper. Two inscriptions and signature by the artist: “Copy of the painting ‘Summer Mountains’ of Huanghe shanren (Wang Meng, 1308-1385) by Gengyan sanren (Wang Hui, 1632-1717). … In the mengqiu (7th) month of the jiazi year (1924), Guanwu He Shou.” Three seals of the artist: “Guanwu”, “Jieyitang zhuren” etc. “Lady Tan Jiequan insisted to give the painting as a present to the great statesman Shinaide (Schneider) for examining the old work. I wrote this and ask for correction, in the winter of the jisi year (1929), again inscribed by Guanwu.” Two seals of the artist: “He Shoukang yin”, “Guanwu”.
